• Hi,

After the latest update I encountered an issue on a client site where the popup wasn’t working for inline content.

The site was using Better WordPress Minify, and in investigating I noticed that the changelog mentioned that the plugin now uses wp_add_inline_script(). In my experience wp_add_inline_script() does not work with BWP, and disabling JS minification (or the plugin entirely) resolved the issue.

I acknowledge that BWP has not been updated in some time and appears abandoned, and I have switched to Autoptimize, but I have a lot of sites out there still running BWP that will have their lightboxes cease to work if Easy Fancybox is updated. So if there’s anything the plugin can do in a future version to resolve this compatibility issue it would be much appreciated.

  • Hi Jacob, thanks for reporting this ??

I’m planning some (theme) compatibility options for the next release and I’ll consider this one as well. Might be useful for WP?pre 4.5 compatibility too…

FYI – w/ 1.8 and the new setting for ‘Do not use wp_add_inline_script/style functions (may solve issues with older script minification plugins)’ has fixed my conflict with BWP. Thanks @ravanh
Hope that’s the same for you @jakept
