    Hi All,

Sorry for the issue you have faced. We added some PHP 5.3 specific codes which means plugin wil break on WordPress sites running PHP 5.2 or prior.

We will ship a new minor release 2.2.1 within 48-hours to address this issue.

We did not know that so many people use old PHP versions.

Well, it causes the back end to not function. In other words I can’t access the back end with the latest update. The front end seems fine. I have error reporting disabled because it’s a live site so I’m not sure of the errors. I’m on PHP 5.2.17.

I also noticed you changed the way media files are uploaded on the front end. Now there is no message saying which types of files are allowed. Just the “Upload Media” box appears. (Don’t get me wrong I like this updated way of uploading images, it would just be nice if there was the message saying which types of media can be uploaded if you only want images to be an option.)

    Are u using WordPress multisite?

Just the “Upload Media” box appears.

Ya. This new uploader supports multiple uploads, drag-n-drop supports and few more things.
Please let me me know if you are facing any issue with uploader?

    Not using Multi-Site.

Haven’t tested the uploading of media files on the front end yet. I’d like to make sure that I can access the back end before I proceed.

Ok, just for you I tested the front end. Trying to upload images results in an HTTP error. It disappeared so quickly that I can’t get the actual error message.

Also clicking on albums results in a white screen. But that maybe because I’m also experimenting with the BuddyPress Album plugin which shares the same URL. Ok, I disabled the BuddyPress Album via SFTP and now the Album button is working. So I guess you can’t use both. Which is fine, your plugin provides more options. But I still can’t access the back end or upload files.

Does your plugin upload files to a directory named ‘album’? If so, does it check to see if there is one already created?

    @ MickeyRoush

Thanks for more details. It will help us.

Does your plugin upload files to a directory named ‘album’? If so, does it check to see if there is one already created?

No. We are using WordPress Library attachment system seamlessly. So all media uploads are normal wordpress uploads behind the scene.
This was done so that users will be able to use other plugins like smush.it (for image compression), w3-total-cache (for CDN) without any extra work.

May be album folder was created by another plugin.

Can you try logging into wp-admin side from another browser or Incognito mode (if you are using chrome)

    Thread Starter MickeyRoush

    (@mickeyroush)

Oh, the album directory was created by BuddyPress Album, and there was a conflict on the front end, so I thought that it was possible that there was a conflict somewhere else.

I’ll try to test using different browsers and will get back with you later on that. I have to run now.

Fine. Rest assured, if we can trace issue in our codes, you will get a upgrade-fix within 24-hours.

I tried to look at this again. For some reason admin-ajax.php is returning 500 Internal Server errors. That’s why when I try to use this version I can’t access the back-end and uploads fail.

Can u try deactivating other plugins (except main BuddyPress plugin)?
