I just updated to the new version 2.0.4 from 2.0

When I go to view the events, players or teams in the database from the menu on the left side in the wordpress browser, I cant access them anymore. The links for each of those items, only display now “Competitions, Seasons, Venues” and when you click on it, it takes you the settings of those in the sportspress settings.

You can’t access any existing data of players or teams in the database anymore and you can create any new ones.

I played a screen grab of the wordpress browser and the error on my dropbox here:

Please help, I cant make any changes to any of my players, teams or events right now.

    Thanks
    Chris

  • I’m not having that problem (2.04) and I have a feeling I know what Roch is going to ask you to do – temporarily disable all other plugins and try again. So, you may as well try that now before he comes back online and answers. :>

Thanks for the suggestion. I only have two other plugins running, wordfence Security and Akismet. I deactivated both and the problem still exist.

I realized the screengrab link wasn’t working. Here is a correct one with jpeg.

The only thing I can think of is that the user you’re logged in as has either the wrong role or the role is messed up.

Can you log in with another user or create a different user to try?

I only have one user account and its admin with full access.

It seems that the menus (when you hold your mouse over) for each of the teams, events, players and staff are incorrect, they link to the settings page and not the supposed to be menu (view players, add new, etc…)

It changed when I did the update. Is there a way to roll back the update to the previous version that I had, 2.0?? Then I can update each next version to see if the error is caused in one of the updated from 2.0 up to 2.0.4.

I think I have fixed the issue. After deactivating the sportspress plugin and activating it again, the issue of the menu errors stopped and it works all fine now.

Thanks Gator8 for trying to help me solve the problem.

    Hi!

    I’m glad it’s back!

We’ve had a few bumps with the latest update (and we’ve released it with WP’s update as well, so double the trouble) but everything is fine now. Running the latest version should work fine

    Kind Regards,
    -Roch
