    As the title says.

“Warning: include_once(/home/worlds33/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/includes/MC4WP_Lite.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/worlds33/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/mailchimp-for-wp.php on line 39

Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘/home/worlds33/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/includes/MC4WP_Lite.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/worlds33/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/mailchimp-for-wp.php on line 39

Fatal error: Class ‘MC4WP_Lite’ not found in /home/worlds33/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/mailchimp-for-wp.php on line 40″

This includes both frontend and backend. Any tips, please?

Hi there, thanks for the error report.

That shouldn’t happen at all – just tested the update process once again, just to make sure, and it is (still) working for me.

The error hints that the main plugin file wasn’t updated because it is pointing to files that do not exist in the latest version. Looks like the update only completed partially or it might be because of a code (object) cache.

Could you try updating once again to see if it completes now? I realise it’s a long shot as I never had an update fail me but the error clearly states the main plugin file is still at v1.4.7.

    Thanks!

    Hi Colin,

Are you sure you’re running the MailChimp for WordPress plugin? I seriously doubt the plugin is slowing down your website (noticeably) or taking down your WP Admin panel.

You can totally remove a plugin by FTP’ing to /wp-content/plugins/ and there deleting the plugin folder.

    Hope that helps, good luck!
