Latest update broke my site…

This seems to happen on some sites. Apologies for the error. It should be fixed in 1.8.1

I’ve updated to 1.8.1 and everything was fine, it’s working perfectly.
This this happened using Enfold theme.

Hi @bmerrill2014 did you encounter a specific error on the page or in the server log?

We got the WordPress “Critical error” message, and I got an email saying the Highlight Search Terms plugin was the cause.
I couldn’t find anything in the server logs.
I did find that the server is running php 5.6.40. That might be the problem…

I disabled the plugin and it started working again.

Ok, the error occurred during the update? PHP 5.6 should be supported although it could not hurt to upgrade or switch to a newer (installed) version if possible ??
