Latest Update Caused Major Site Issues

This plugin has been working great since I installed it a month ago. Today, I updated with the latest version and it caused some major problems.
Most notably, all of my links started redirecting to Google.com. Direct path to my pages worked fine, but clicking an in-site link sent me to Google. An even bigger problem was that when I attempted to log back into my WP dashboard by navigating to wp-login.php, it let me enter my credentials but then redirected me to Google. I had to log into cpanel in order to access the database directly.
Assuming that the issue was directly related to my most recent plugin update, I went in and deactivated semalt blocker, which immediately fixed my site.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford to have my site malfunction even for a minute, so I’ve had to remove the plugin. But I wanted to share what happened.
