    Hi, updated to 6.2.6.1 and my site came to a standstill with resources maxing out. Rolled back to 6.2.6 and all seems ok again.

    Hi @maginem,

    I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. Let me help you with this one.

    If you have Event Tickets plugins installed, please update it to v5.6.8.1 and see if that makes a difference.

    I suggest testing this first on a staging version of your live site to avoid unnecessary downtime. If you don’t have one, you can use the WP Staging plugin to create one easily.

    If that doesn’t help, does the issue persist if you only activate our plugins and a default theme (e.g. 2021 theme)? [See- Testing for conflicts]

    Hi, we didn’t have Event Tickets installed. Unfortunately creating a staging site to test this issue is not going to work with the time we have. We have disabled the event plugin altogether (as we are not actively using it currently) and will re-look this when we need to.

    Same on my website, also a crash and impossible to access the site.

    I received the update to “The Events Calendar 6.27”.
    In my plugins I also have “Events Shortcodes For The Events Calendar 2.3.3”

    Measurements taken:

    1. Via FTP, renamed wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar to wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-old
    2. In the dashboard, deactivate the Events Shortcodes For The Events Calendar plugin
    3. In the dashboard, deleted The Events Calendar 6.27 plugin
    4. Clean reinstallation of The Events Calendar 6.27 using the Dashboard
    5. Reactivation of Events Shortcodes For The Events Calendar

    ==> no data loss and site OK again

    @maginem We just released The Events Calendar v6.2.8. If you have a chance, could you try updating your plugin to the latest version and try the recommendation provided above, and see if that works for you?
