Latest update destroyed login

There was no warning message upon updating, so I credulously proceeded.
While still logged in, after upgrades I always test the site from another browser like a user, for safety.
And this time, I cannot log in anymore!Upon investigation it LOOKS like (can’t say for sure) that the custom login path got deleted and moved to a separate plugin?
We cannot install another plugin on this site, forbidden.
Does that mean that the latest clearfy update negligently ruined a client business site??
If YES, wouldn’t it be common sense to leave such make-or-break feature in place where it exists, and only move it to a separate plugin for anyone who hasn’t employed the feature yet?
I trust the wording makes clear how upset we all are?
And that after a 5star review! Unjustifed now.
