Just updated about 90 minutes ago. I now cannot login nor is the frontend visible to the public

After doing so I got these two messages, which also show up on the frontend:

Warning: require(/home/eagle30/public_html/johnswriting.com/wp/wp-content/themes/decode/inc/tgm-plugin-activation/tgm-plugin-activation.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/eagle30/public_html/johnswriting.com/wp/wp-content/themes/decode/functions.php on line 183

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/eagle30/public_html/johnswriting.com/wp/wp-content/themes/decode/inc/tgm-plugin-activation/tgm-plugin-activation.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/eagle30/public_html/johnswriting.com/wp/wp-content/themes/decode/functions.php on line 183

  • I see same issue. I browsed SVN and it looks to me like the inc directory got deleted in the latest point release.

I also have the same issue, is there a way to revert a version update?

It appears as though the file they are trying to open is located in inc/customizer/tgm-plugin-activation

I believe that the error is with forgetting “customizer”, I would like to test editting that, but wonder if there are other errors. How responsive are the developers?

Their demo site is broken as well (same error): https://www.machothemes.com/demo/#Decode

    And there’s a bug filed already: https://github.com/MachoThemes/decode/issues/109

Same Problem (running current WordPress version).

Get the latest version guys, error’s been fixed.

@ Onoruch01 If you can’t access your site, like I couldn’t mine, you probably can most easily revert to the previous version by getting your webhost to reset it to the prior version–assuming they have a restore point before your failed update. That’s what I am doing; letting them do the work. It may not be free, but they know more about what they’re doing than I do and can do it way quicker.
There is probably a way to use a backup version to restore your site through CPanel but that’s not something I am up to speed on.

My solution was go in through FTP and rename decode to decode-2 (or just delete the folder).

That reverted back to the default WP theme.

Following that you can reinstall decode. I renamed it in the interim so I could research it but then deleted

I deleted, through FTP, the wp-content/themes/decode folder. Then I downloaded the latest release from https://github.com/MachoThemes/decode/releases, unpacked it and uploaded the decode folder back to wp-content/themes
