Before the last update, the header had a shadow at the bottom. The sides just touched the side of the browser, with white and thus no shadow. Now, there is a border on both the left and right sides, with a shadow that I did not intend and which was not there before the update. As a result, the entire website is displayed smaller. And while this is not very problematic in a desktop web browser (although it is ugly with those shadows on the sides of the header), on a mobile device everything is now significantly smaller and that is problematic. Additionally, because everything has become smaller and there is effectively more space on the left and right sides, the footer no longer aligns with the sides of the browser.

This is already the umpteenth time that after an update (of Elementor and/or EHF) things break and I spend hours fixing it. Maybe this time you can fix it for me? Thank you in advance!

    Hi @ammo69,

I can see the shadow; however, I don’t see the border. And the site looks fine too on the desktop and mobile. Refer to this video, please.

Please save and export the template you are using as the Header and share it here. I will try import it on my dev site and see if I can find any clue about the shadow.

In the meantime, if you think the latest update causes any problem as you described, please roll back to the previous version and see if it fixes the problem. You can use a plugin like WP Rollback to roll back the plugin to the previous version easily. Please make sure you create a proper backup of your site before rolling back the plugin. Just in case.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

I solved it, I suppose, before you saw it. How I solved it?
In Elementor I changed a setting in the header and the footer of the sections / containers.
But still, it was, when I designed the header and footer, without edges at both sides, and after the update, there was a never intended space with a shadow at the right and left side of the header.

    Hi @bsfherman ,

I previously wrote about the issue with the shadow under my menu bar in the header. Before an update, the shadow was only below the menu bar, but after the update, it also appeared on the left and right, making the menu smaller and creating a border on both sides. I fixed that, but now a new problem has arisen. I find that there are often many issues with the HFE plugin lately.

The current problem is: With every page reload/load, the entire content of the header jumps up and down. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_oC5zGd102b2xesQL32o5O4TbV9yCTjm/view?usp=sharing

And whatever I try, it won’t go away. I’ve already converted my header from sections to containers, but that doesn’t make a difference. Even then, every page load still gives this jittery effect.

It’s similar to an earlier problem where you would see all the submenus flash by with every page load. You fixed that, but now we’ve ended up with this issue. I’m seriously considering using a different header and footer plugin because this is costing me a lot of time every time.

But hopefully you have a simple solution to this issue!?

    Hi @ammo69,

I believe, your case is unique and is happening only on your site. There’s something on your site contributes in that behavior. It could be another plugin, custom code, something on your hostin, etc.

Anyway, do you use an optimization plugin on your site, e.g. cache, minifying JS/CSS, etc? If you do, please try disable it and see if it changes the behavior.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hi @bsfherman

I’m not using an optimization plugin. If I find the time I will troubleshoot the issue. If I find something of your interest, I will post it here.
