• Hi,

I noticed this plugin had an update today (ver 2.4.0), I updated but it seems the plugin has completely broken Yoast SEO.

The loading spinners on the SEO and readability tabs keep spinning, the content analysis says not enough content even though there is over 300 words and numerous error sin the console.

I am not using Gutenberg, I use classic editor (I see some error relating to getBlocks)

After deactivating the ACF content analysis plugin, Yoast works fine again. Please fix ASAP.

  • We are also experiencing EXACTLY the same issue as above with the latest update for this plugin… To confirm, we are using classic editor rather than Gutenberg. We are seeing the error above appear sporadically (not every time). It mostly seems to come up when editing a WooCommerce product… but sometimes fixes itself after a page refresh.

We have had to turn the plugin off for now, and have had to do this on several websites that this issue was affecting.

A fix as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Since the last update I see three identical JavaScript errors in the browser console:

Also, due to this update and the related JavaScript error, the “AddQuickTag” menu is no longer displayed in the visual editor. AddQuickTag is a well-known plugin to create your own Quicktags.

If I disable “ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO”, the JavaScript errors disappear and the AddQuickTag menu in the visual editor reappears.

Isn’t such a plugin properly tested and verified before release?

PS: Many users are still using Yoast SEO 13.x and not the version 14, which is still full of bugs. So ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO should still be working with versions below version 14 – not everybody wants to update to the new Yoast SEO version (because of those many bugs, which is understandable). Maybe there lies the problem?

We are also experiencing EXACTLY the same issue as above with the latest update for this plugin. so plz fix those issue as soon as possible.

Snap. I suspect it’s because I use the classic editor. The error I get is:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getBlocks' of null

Having the same issue as you all. Yoast is no longer analysing the content in custom fields, repeaters etc. Even tried reverting back to yoast version 13.5, clearing cache etc and still doesn’t work. Driving me crazy!

kirstys1… reverting Yoast won’t do anything, as Yoast isn’t causing the issue. This issue is with the latest update of the “ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO” plugin, so this is the one that needs to be reverted.

If anyone needs it, here is “ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO” version 2.3.0… which people can download and install as a temporary fix – until a new version is released to fix these issues with version 2.4.0.

    Download 2.3.0 here…

Hi wearekoala, thank you. I did also try reverting back to version 2.3.0 of ACF content analysis for yoast seo previously when the issue first appeared, and that didn’t work (alongside most up to date version of yoast). But i’m going to try again.

*update* So I reverted back to version 2.3.0 of ACF content analysis for yoast seo and it worked. I’m using the latest version of yoast seo (14.2). However, to see it working I had to open the page in an incognito tab as it wasn’t working in google chrome……It was only then that I could see the plugin was actually working. So I went back to chrome and cleared all cookies from the browser. It now works fine in Chrome. I failed to do this on the 1st attempt which is why I thought it hadn’t worked.

When will there be a fix?

Hi, Just a quick update. The plugin devs have released an update (2.4.1) and it seems to have fixed the issue. The update has only been released recently.

And why doesn’t the author write it himself here in the support forum? Whatever.
