as stated in the title, jump links in the table of contents do not function correctly when the head contains any form of special character, accent, or punctuation. I’ve seen numerous other reports of this kind of issue and they are all marked resolved however in case it is not resolved.

Hi, thank you for contacting us. We’ve reviewed the shared URL, and everything appears to be working fine. All links are functioning properly. Could you please provide more details or a reference regarding the specific issue you are facing? This will help us to reevaluate and address the problem accordingly.

I have this issue too. No id is given to headings with characters like “-” etc.

Other headings without those characters work fine.

    EG:

    <h2>Part 2 - Cats</h2>

This will have no span added to it, because of the “-“. But in the same article, this heading will:

    <h3 itemprop="name"><span class="ez-toc-section" id="How_to_start"></span>How to start<span class="ez-toc-section-end"></span></h3>

When characters like “-” are in the heading, no span is added.

Hi, we’ve checked on our end, and everything is working fine, we’re not experiencing any TOC jumping issues. It appears there may be a conflict with another plugin and theme on your side causing this problem. Kindly check the conflict once.

It was a theme change and also a plugin I had… two different things both stopping it from working! Thanks for the help and quick responses.
