• I’ve been trying to update Jetpack for a while.
I took you latest suggestion and completely removed Jetpack from the site and manually deleted the jetpack folder.

when I upload a brand new version the latest version of jetpack i get the following error
fatal error: Call to undefined method Jetpack::validate_sync_error_idc_option() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/lib/admin-pages/class.jetpack-admin-page.php on line 42

I removed jetpack, restarted the http server and the mysql server and I still get the following error

Call to undefined method Jetpack::validate_sync_error_idc_option() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/lib/admin-pages/class.jetpack-admin-page.php on line 42

This is from a clean install

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

It appears that like last time, one of the files (class.jetpack.php) is either missing or not executed on your site.

How did you install the plugin? Did you use the built-in option under Plugins > Add New in your dashboard? What happens when you upload the Jetpack folder yourself via FTP? Do you get the same error?

Similar…I can’t get to connect after installing thru the add new plugin process.

@pattijryan Could you follow the instructions I posted above and try to install the plugin manually?

If that doesn’t help, Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome, and give me more details about the errors you see when trying to activate or use the plugin?

    Thank you!
