latex not rendered when [latex] contains line break [/latex]

  • Hi,

    we just switched from Wp-Latex to Mathjax and I noticed that some of my users enter in formulas as

    [latex]
    Formula
    [/latex]

    instead of

    [latex] formula [/latex]. The first version is not rendered using Mathjax, because WordPress enters automatically a new line. If you switch to text View, you’ll see that it reads
    [latex]
    >empty line<
    forumla
    >empty line<
    [/latex]

    Any idea why and if I could change this in the settings?
