Layer Slider and Sound Cloud

I have a static layer slider – one slide. What I would like to do is to have a SoundCloud player on one layer over one side – sort of a side bar over the slider. The idea is that the left ‘sidebar’ would be my logo with demos underneath it, the middle would be content, and the right would be another ‘sidebar’ with a contact form.

Other than using a layer slider, I don’t know how to get a background under the two side bars. I’d rather not have the site be full width – rather have a background that shows behind the content and side bars.

Perhaps there’s an easier way?
