Layered Product Filter

    So I’ve searched far and wide for a plugin or resolution to this problem.

    I need a way for products to be filtered by manufacturer/model/year. I could do this with by assigning each as an attribute to the product, however, most products fit more than one combination of the above.

    For example, say I have an exhaust piece which fits the following bikes: Honda/CRF450R/2006
    KTM/450XCF/2013

    The user will select Honda from the drop down, but both models will still remain, as the product has been assigned both “CRF450R” and “450XCF” under the Model attribute.

    Ideally, once the parent (manufacturer) is selected, the next drop-down would filter by it’s children (model), and so on.
