• If I select the maximum number of thumbnails to show in the Layout > Archive View Thumbnail options to any number (e.g. 50) the link that shows that the bottom of the archive posts saying “See the Rest” does not seem to work.

The links points to #photonic-picasa-stream-1 , but clicking it only takes you to the top of the post.

Viewing the complete post shows all , but the option does not appear to work.

Firstly sorry I missed the post from months ago.

No the issue still appears to be there.

Perhaps the way I set it up, but Archive View set to 25 the button appears saying “see the rest” and clicking it does not appear to do anything but move slightly down the page. The gallery has around 200 photos in it, I had to put up a link to google to get around the issue.

    Please have a look at

Do you have the latest version of the plugin? What version of WordPress are you running? Did you try to test a different theme, one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fifteen?

If none of the above help, did you try to disable all your other plugins and check to see if the link works better.

I think some clarity is required from me regarding the behaviour here.
Essentially this is working as designed.

The “Archive View” setting applies to the case where you are viewing your post amidst other posts, not viewing your gallery within a post. If you read the wording for the option, it says:

How many images do you want to show per gallery at the most on archive views (e.g. Blog page, Category, Date, Tag or Author views)? All thumbnails will be visible when the post is viewed in full.

Basically this is the use case: let’s say you run a blog, where you post galleries every week. If your blog page displays all photos of all galleries, your site’s landing page is going to get very heavy. By restricting the number of photos in the “Archive view”, you are really saying, “When I load 5 posts together, I don’t want to load all their photos, but just x photos for each post.”

There isn’t any setting that lets you do a “View more” on a single post / page; I can consider such an implementation, but the implementation is non-trivial.

    Hope this makes things clear.
