Layout Different from Page to Page & Keeps Changing

I have set the layout in the appearance menu. However, this has not been applied across all my pages. When I go into each individual page I change the display settings to match the ones in the menu. I save them but when I go back in it’s reset.
Some pages have different content width because I can’t change it from full width to 70%, some have 80%, some have no title, some do, some have sidebar and some don’t.
I’ve tried changing all the pages to the standard settings – contained style, 70% content width with right hand side bar but they keep changing back.
Advice much appreciated as I’m getting content layout shift faults in search console and I think this might be why.
