  • Its all explained in your CSS. *Cobbled together from Trident*. I should say so.

Yes well that doesn’t help me much does it?

How do I fix my layout issues? I don’t want to deal with minute formatting for each and every little detail; I just want something basic yet presentable. But what’s not working?

Well Trident is certainly basic and presentable right out of the box.

That it is, but it doesn’t fit the look I was going for.

All I really wanted was to put up my own image in the header, add a few things to the sidebars, and change the colours. The CSS on Trident completely befuddled me, and I had to pretty much start from scratch, using Trident only as a base.

I don’t need every last LI or tag styled differently, they can all look the same as far as I care. I don’t even need a background image, and unlike Trident I’d like the space on my site to be filled out. But seems my efforts aren’t working…

    sigh…

Sadly in your noble efforts some of the core structural elements which hold the template together have been removed.

In the CSS increase the width of #leftbar to 33% and the width of #content to 65%.
