    Hi

    I need the wording ?mail” to appear above the field, as with the firstname and surname fields

    Just add below css to your website:

    #easy-newsletter-form label,
    #easy-newsletter-form .wpens-error{ display: block; }

    By the way you can also design form as per your requirement, by default it inherit theme’s default css.
