Layout problems

Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble with my photo’s and text lining up the way I want.

I’m trying to have a image on the left with text relating to the image next to it on the right. That seems to be fine for the first image and the text for that image but trying to do it again is when I’m having problems.

After the first image and text I would like to have a horizontal space. Below that horizontal space I would like to add another image with text to the right of it and repeat this going down the page.

When I’m in visual mode it all looks good but if I update the page and go to look at it the second image is up next and to the right of the image above it.

The image on top has text to the right of it, but the text is not as tall as the image and the space below the text is where the image from below is moving to when I update the page.

How do I add some kind of break below the top image so the second image will not go up and above the side of the first image??

I sure hope that make sense. I’ve been working on this problem for over an hour and just need to walk away, If you can help you would really make my day!
