Lazy Load for Comments

    Hi,

    I know you guys are busy and working hard to improve the plugin one step better every time. I appreciate your effort for this plugin. ??

    The plugin is working very fine on my site but one feature request I want to make.

    The plugin already has a lazy load Gravatars feature for comments.

    But I and I’m sure most of the users also want LAZY LOAD COMMENTS feature in the plugin.

    Sometimes post get many comments and I have noticed that this increase the load time of page. If we have Lazy Load Comments feature then comments would only load when a site visitor reaches the comment section of post by scrolling, and this would help a lot.

    Yes, I know we have free WordPress plugins to do this but I don’t want to install another plugin for this feature. It would be better if SG Optimizer plugin offer this one.

    I wish you would understand my problem and We all would see this feature in SG Optimizer soon. ??

    That’s a great idea but unfortunatelly, it can’t be done the lazy load “way”. When lazy loading we already have the HTML output and we “delay” the load of the images until you scroll next to them (a bit of oversimplification). With comments, the WP function slows down at the time of fetching the comments from the DB. So that would be lazy loading texts which doesn’t make sense.

    Ideally, the whole comments visualisation functionality should be overhauled and fetched with Ajax calls while scrolling for posts with multiple posts. Hope that makes sense ??
