    Hello,

Google Pagespeed advice is to lazy load the images of the Insta feed. Is this possible? I use Optimole for lazy load, but that doesn’t affect the Insta feed.

    Kind regards,

    Hey @designkamer,

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. This should be possible. First, you will want to make sure that images are being loaded locally from your website. Currently, they are not. Please go to Instagram Feed > Customize > make sure Favor Local Images and Backup Caching is enabled, and save changes. You may need to click the Clear Resized Images and Clear Backup Caches buttons as well, and clear the website cache, then load the page with the feed once. In the same settings page, also enabled Disable JS image loading which should help it work properly with Lazy Loading. If you are using Optimole CDN to load images you may need some further customization, let me know whether this is the case.

    Best regards.

    Hey @jimon07,

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. You would need a small snippet to place in your functions.php file for the theme to change our local file storage URL. Since this needs to be custom to your site, please reach out to us asking for assistance in adapting our plugin to your CDN by sending us a support request on our website here.

    Many thanks.

What is this small snippet you speak of? I’ve contacted you via support and I am a Pro user. I use SG Optimizer and need code to force the Instagram Plugin to lazy-load because “Defer offscreen images” on PageSpeed is the only fix left to implement.

    Hey @josmoody,

I am referring to a CDN functions.php snippet which can be found in this thread. As you are a Pro user we can not provide support on these forums which are for the Free version of the plugin only, and we will reach back out to you via your support request.

    Best regards.
