• I made a directory for LCA with 777 in my root folder (ie /avatars) on my website, and it keeps telling me it’s unwritable.

I entered /avatars and https://www.mywebsite.com/avatars into the LCA managment. I know it has to be the correct spelling as the default are appearing.

If I put the permissions to 666, the avatars disappear.

I’m so frustrated that I keep getting “The specified location /avatars is not writable. Please make this writable before using this plugin.” even though it seems to be working fine!

I’d be really glad for anyone who can help.

  • Yeah I’m confused too… it would work if you put the upload form underneath the “Add comment” form!! I’ve been trying to solve this issue… but can’t. :S

Ah – I tried putting it above the submit comment form and it kept submitting comments instead of uploading stuff, so I gave up on that ^^
Maybe it has something to do with the target action?

Tried putting it in the comment form, that didn’t work either. I don’t understand why…
