LCP, Preload Largest Contentful Paint image

Thank you for reaching out to us, The LCP issues is likely to be because of size of the image.

I will recommend the following:

1. To serve images from CDN, you can use a jetpack which optimizes images and serves then via photon CDN.

2. Resize images, resize image and serve with correct dimensions.

3. Preload featured images. You can find more details here

Thanks for the answers, one question is how do I know the correct size? I’m using the regenerate plugin for this, but I think I’m doing something wrong

Now that you are using the jetpack the “Properly size images” error is no longer present, but You can check documentation for it, to learn how you can improve upon it.

My question is still how can I reduce this time, because for me the image size is already correct, right?

As I checked, you have applied all optimization, but not sure why the LCP is not improved. I also notice that the image is not preloaded.

Can you please add the following code in child themes functions.php or in a custom plugin it will preload post feature images

I came across some discussions on GitHub issue about Lighthouse suggesting preloading too aggressively. It seems like this might be a bug in Lighthouse itself. I hope it gets addressed in a future release (v12.0).
