    Hey

I have kept the default role in the AuthLDAP options as ‘subscriber’. I have enabled both options –
‘Use LDAP Groups to map to Roles?’ and
‘LDAP Groups override role of existing users?’

I have created 5 groups corresponding to WP roles in openldap and added users in each of the group.

I have also mapped Roles-Group to the relevant groups in Openldap.

Inspite of doing all this, whenever a new user logs in, the user is given a subscriber role irrespective of the LDAP group he belongs to.

    Request your help. Cheers !!

    Best Regards
    Kedar Apte

hey – I understood my mistake here. Instead of mentioning the gidNumber, I was mentioning the name of the group. My bad :). But yes, now everything works as expected. Too good.

Now that the basic is working, I am getting greedy ?? Is there a way to use the ldap picture attribute to be associated with the buddypress avatar

Thanks your topic! I have mistake the same with you!
