I currently have a tree structured League Table setup.
    i.e.

    Total-Standings
    – Table A
    – Table B
    – Table C

When events that make up any of the A,B,C tables update, the subsequent TOTALS table is updated as well.

But if I add a fourth table (Table D) and I edit the values directly and do not rely on events, the roll up totals do not work.

How can I get the roll up table to calculate the results without events for some tables?

This is mostly for historical season data that we are going back and entering and the individual events are not important. Nor do I want to add thousands of events just to get this roll up table to work.

    TIA

    Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m not sure if I understand your setup though. Could you give us some examples? Maybe with a link to your site?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Roch,

I’m not sure a link to my site will help, but here it is: https://kennewickgridkids.com/records/league-history/.

Maybe an image would help clarify:KGK Sportspress Overview

In that image, the seasons in Orange are seasons that have events in the system to make up the entire standings for each competition. Each competition every year has it’s own league table. Then there is a total standings competition (Founder’s Trophy) that each child competition roles up into. This way, we can see the overall standings for an organization that competes in one or more of the child competitions. This all works beautifully IF the seasons have EVENTS.

But I want to go back and create league tables for the 2011 season. Then I ONLY want to edit the values of the league tables for each competition directly from the backend tool. I will not have events entered into the system to make up those results. This works, but it will not roll up to a parent competition.

My guess is, league tables can be overridden by values directly entered into them but that does not mean hierarchical tables like our “Founder’s Trophy” can see those edits. My guess is that you have ALL league tables only looking to sum up events and not events & children league tables. Correct?

I hope this makes more sense.

Here is the link to the image if wordpress forums screws it up: https://www.dropbox.com/s/j07x9jabkanuym4/KGK.png?dl=0
