After numerous issues with usage of this plugin (check my threads below) we had our site checked by a professional IT company. After thorough and rather expensive audit we learned that this plugin is leaking and killing server resources by creating too many querries to mysql – even when it was switched off! We could not use properly our platform, as this plugin was making the backend as slow as a snail. Photos addition would take forever, the server started to lose connection when working with posts, giving back 500 error. The moment we got rid of this plugin, our server got a second life. Now it works like a charm. Good advice – don’t install.

You always said that my plugin didn’t work properly, so you don’t need an expensive audit.

My plugin was reviewed by the WordPress plugin’s team before it was publicly available and nobody else has reported similar problems, so I do not think it will produce as many disasters as you say, although of course it can be optimized and improved.

I have learned an important lesson: using time and effort to contribute to the community for free sometimes returns warm and kind words like yours.

I’m really sorry for all the inconveniences supposedly caused by the plugin and I completely agree with your conclusion: removing the plugin was the best decision you could make.

We both know how many times I contacted you with the issues your plugin produced. I put a lot of effort and faith to make it work as it should according to the plugin’s decription. But the plugin failed to operate properly and it let me down many times.

The audit we had was carried out not because of your plugin but because we had a lot of problems with mysql database connection and querries killing server resources and we wanted to find the reason of it. The audit revealed something I did not expect. It was a surprise to me as I had switched your plugin off before but still it was doing a lot of harm to our site. We had to block it totally for the tests and then to get rid of it. Yes, the audit was expensive and I am not blaming you for the costs I had to take because of your plugin.

The truth is (and the audit proves it) that your plugin was the culprit of my server issues and I really cannot beat around the bush as far as it is concerned. Bad is bad, the truth is hard to take. You have to learn another leasson: being the author, you have to be prepared not only for kind and warm words but also for critical and harsh responses. You can be thanked for good work, but you will surely be scolded for bad work. Don’t spill out your bitterness here. If the cap fits, wear it.
