• I having a similar problem with my Quintus theme. On my blog I want visitor to post a comment, right. But the reply box comes up and it ask them to Put in Name, Email address, and Website to post in the comment box. How do I remove that show it just says leave a comment with only the comment box and nothing else.

  • Hi,

I wouldn’t advise that because you will be swarmed with spam. And having spam links on your site can have negative effects on your SEO.

If you want an easy and safe way for your users to connect, I suggest using the Disqus plugin.
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disqus-comment-system/

That way the users can login using Facebook, Gmail and Twitter easily.

Having said that if you really need your comments to appear without any security go to WP > Settings > Discussions and set it so that anyone can post a comment.

Under Settings > Discussion, you can uncheck this box to make then name and email fields not required:

Comment author must fill out name and e-mail

You could then hide the Name, Email, and Website fields with some custom CSS that we could help with if you need it.

As WPHelpout says, though, not requiring at least an email address usually isn’t a great idea as it can attract a lot of spam.
