Thanks to these forums, I was able to resolve the invalid argument problem that occurred when I updated Jetpack. However, I have now encountered a new problem.

Previously, I had a custom text for my Jetpack comments. However, now, all it will show is simply “Leave a reply”. I have checked to see if my custom text is there, and found that it was. I even tried removing and replacing the text, but the “Leave a reply” stays instead of the text that I want.

I am at a loss as to how to fix this error.

I had to go into the plugin’s files to edit this manually:

wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/comments/comments.php

Modify the ‘Leave a Reply’ on Lines 211 & 250 to what you want it to say.

The changes will erase next time there’s an update, but hopefully it’ll be working by then so you won’t have to manually change it again.

We have now fixed the issue, and the fix will be included in the next Jetpack release.

Today I installed Jetpack Version 2.9 and I still have the problem that the Greeting text ‘Leave a reply’ doesn’t change. Since Jeremy Herve stated that it will be in the next release 8 months ago I assumed this should be working now.

Or am I doing something wrong.
