Leave policy date not changed when updated

I created leave policy date and assigned to employees. I had made changes policy name and in the number of days and requested to update all employees. In leave entitlement, the name has been changed but number of days remained same as before modification.
Also I checked employee leave, and still the changed policy not updated with new days
