Leave PRODUCT in deposit

    Hi,

    For my new Woocommerce store I need a special requirement related with DELIVERIES.

    My store should offer 3 different kinds of delivery:

    1) Delivery to my country with fixed cost (I’ve got it, not a problem)
    2) Pick up at store (I’ve got it, not a problem)
    3) Leave the product in deposit in the store. It means that the client pays 100% the product but the product is left in the store.

    I need a solution for this 3rd option. Everything I’m able to find related with DEPOSITS is about partial payments. Here products are 100% paid.

    Hi there,

    I’m afraid I don’t fully understand how the option between 2 & 3 is different? In both use cases the user is paying in full and then collecting the product in store ( either now or a later date). Can you please clarify the use case and the difference so we can better understand?

    The product is a kind of Lottery, so difference between options 2 and 3 are:

    2) The client pick up the product before the draw is done

    3) The client never pick ups the product from the store. If he/she is a lucky winner then he/she will receive a bank transfer with the earnings. That’s why I said that in this case the product is left in deposit in the store.

    Hi there,

    If you want to add in a separate shipping method for option 3, you could always add-in a second “local pickup” option, but name it something different to suit your needs.

    Then, as far as collecting the 100% of the funds, you could do so with a simple product, and explain in the description that it’s a lottery type product. Or there are also lottery plugins such as this: https://woocommerce.com/products/lottery-for-woocommerce/

    I have finally Renamed “Free shipping” method. I wasn’t going to use this shipping option so, as leaving the product in deposit is free of charge, I think it fits perfectly. I haven’t already tested it but I hope it’ll work.
