    Hi!

We moved our podcast from Podpress to Powerpress when the latter stopped working. Some old files remained, but everything seemed to went well. So it took some time to notice that for some 50 episodes there are multiple enclosures which can’t be imported to Powerpress, and which episodes break our podcast feed. The funny thing is that 1, the second enclosure is a video player placeholder image (vpreview_center.png) 2, I only see this enclosure in the feed, I can’t find it in the custom fields.

I was looking for ways to regenerate the feed, but I wasn’t able to find one. Yet I’d badly need a solution however labour intensive is it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Please reply with a link to the PowerPress-generated feed you need help with, as this may help us to determine what’s going on.

    Here it is: https://metiheteor.hu/feed/podcast/

The error starts from episode 208 and is present in the previous 50 episodes.

Episode 208 in the feed looks OK. However, episode 207 here:
    https://metiheteor.hu/207-menemmegy-adas/

Appears to have some junk code, possibly left behind by podPress in the media enclosure tag:
    <enclosure url="a:1:{i:0;a:10:{s:3:"URI";s:44:"https://metiheteor.hu/mp3/20180324_207_mh.mp3";s:5:"title";s:22:"#207. Ménemmegy adás";s:4:"type";s:9:"audio_mp3";s:4:"size";i:118919168;s:8:"duration";s:5:"97:24";s:12:"previewImage";s:75:"https://metiheteor.hu/wp-content/plugins/podpress/images/vpreview_center.png";s:10:"dimensionW";i:0;s:10:"dimensionH";i:0;s:3:"rss";s:2:"on";s:4:"atom";s:2:"on";}}" length="118919168" type="audio/mpeg" />

Episode 206 has similar junk in the media enclosure tag, so it’s possible that all of your episodes up thru 207 are like this.

This page has some information on migrating to PowerPress from podPress:
    https://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/advanced-tools-and-options/migrating-from-podpress-to-powerpress/

If nothing on that page is helpful, you may be left with having to manually update all of your episodes up thru 207 so they are using the correct media file URLs. Sorry for the inconvenience, if that turns out to be the case.

Thanks, it helped to fix the problem. And I’ve found some other issues too on the way. Should anyone face similar problems, the steps were:

1, Reactivate podpress and re-save the episodes with the crufty enclosure. This tidied up the feed.

2, Optionally: get rid of multiple enclosures (leftover from a hosting change).

3, Re-enable PowerPress and import the episodes.

    Now the feed validates.

Thanks for the update! Glad to see the feed is validating now.

If you’ve found the support we’ve provided here to be of value, please consider leaving a review for PowerPress.

These reviews help us with future development of the plugin, and we’d really appreciate it
