    Hi,

    I’ve noticed today that neither website I used Weight Based Shipping for are showing any shipping, and letting customers go through checkout without paying any shipping, nor do they even see shipping options.

    I took at look at Woocommerce shipping settings and it now says ‘Weight Based Shipping (Legacy)’ – I’ve not noticed that before.

    Any ideas? The plug ins and WP are all up to date.

    This is solved now – Apparently all of my shipping zones had been removed somehow!

    Glad you have solved it! Thank you for the update.

    I also just noticed this issue – it was after updating to WooCommerce 9.7.0.

    Downgraded to WooCommerce 9.6.3 and its working again and the shipping costs are back.

    I have just checked on the Shipping Zones in the WooCommerce settings, and dont think ever had any Shipping Zones setup? Maybe it needs to be??

    I just added a Shipping Zone – one for every country and the shipping method is weight based (legacy) and upgraded WooCommerce and things seem Ok. Is the Shipping Zone something that was previously not needed or just something to happen to work without but it should already have been added.

    WooCommerce 9.7 changed the way it detects global shipping methods, affecting WBS. As a result, the WBS global shipping method will not be available to your customers if it’s the only shipping method set up. Adding a method to a shipping zone serves as a workaround.

    WBS 6.5.0 includes a fix for that.

    It’s recommended to wait until all your plugins report compatibility with the new WooCommerce version before updating.

    It’s up to you whether to use shipping zones, the global method, or both.
