Legacy widgets in Twenty Twenty-Three theme?

  • Hi,

    Been playing with the various IndieWeb and syndication features for WordPress today.

    I see there are options for 3 legacy widgets, that are not supported in the Twenty Twenty-Three theme anymore:

    • widget_relme_widget
    • widget_hcard_widget
    • widget_widget_original_of

    Will they be converted to blocks?

    I thought there was a classic widget block. I personally am not prioritizing making blocks but would welcome anyone who wanted to add them…

    Probably with WordPress themes not fully “transitioned”, yes, there was a “legacy widget block” – not with Twenty Twenty-Three anymore, it’s gone (or I can’t find it…)

    I think I found an option they changed to activate it that I missed. Will see about adding it.
