Legal issues with Google Fonts (GDPR)

I don’t believe we are using any Google Fonts in WooCommerce Admin.

Core WordPress does use some fonts from Google here https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/trunk/src/wp-includes/script-loader.php#L1922 and https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/trunk/src/wp-includes/script-loader.php#L1999.

Are these the fonts you’re seeing included?

Hmkay, I only see them when your plugin is activated though. Sorry if I jumped to conclusions too soon.

Could you provide some detailed instructions so we can reproduce this issue? What page in the admin are you on where you can toggle the WooCommerce Admin plugin and see the Google Fonts loaded? What other plugins do you have activate? Etc.

I can reproduce this a hundred times in a row:

When the plugin isn’t installed my Dashboard /wp-admin/index.php) loads nothing from Google but as soon as I activate this, it’s loading Google Fonts.

Disabling the plugin instantly removes Google Fonts and I took that as a strong indication to the plugin being the cause of it.

Other plugins being active don’t seem to influence it when deactivated one by one or all at once.

It seems we are including too many core WordPress styles with our plugin. While the WooCommerce Admin plugin does not bring along any Google Fonts, we also don’t make use of them, so I’ve opened a change to remove unnecessary dependencies on core WordPress.
