• Is it legal to white label WordPress/not mention that a multisite/regular wordpress site is not powered by WordPress? I tried reading the legal thing, but it was very confusing. Should I only mention WordPress one site of the network, or not?

I think the GPL license states that you can use (commercially too) the software as is, as long as you don’t claim it as your own work. That may not mean leaving the “powered by WordPress” info on, it may just mean you cannot claim it’s your own work.

What are you thinking of distributing, the vanilla core application?

From everything that I’ve seen and read, you don’t need ot have any public notices on your site saying that it’s powered by WordPress at all. The main thing that you need to do is not remove the copyright messages on the WordPress files.
