Hello after a recent update, the Legend Superpowers are not working like they used to. It seems to load the page with every new category, where it is supposed to just dim the other categories (not load each time)

    Thank you for your support!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Ok cool! Thanks!

For the meantime, do you think if I installed the last version it will fix it until you do the fix?

I think I’ve fixed the legend superpowers. At least it does work on my test site.

You might need to empty caches, including browser cache.

    Update v7.0.4 available.

Wow! Cool, thanks for the quick fix.

Well good news and weird news, is just one of the categories the Superpowers works great.

The others that should be highlighted, nothing happens. Except one that has an event gets grayed out.

And the ones that are empty, gray out like they should.

Can you look at this please? The YOGA Category works, but the Permaculture and Wellness categories that have events, nothing happens when you click on the buttons. And Ecosystem Regeneration should be highlighted, but grays out on accident.

Thank you, I appreciate your support.

I need to fix the regex to remove non-alphanumeric characters from the slug name.

I’ve found a solution that should fix it. Just really don’t want to add it and test on mobile ??

Just pushed v7.0.5. This should fix the Legend Superpowers as it improves the category slug retrieval.

Yes That fixed the Superpowers!! You are awesome!! Thank you so much!!

Regarding the WPML issue, what would you suggest to fix the loading on the pagination? Basically once clicked, it shows all categories from both languages, then once refreshed, it just shows the correct language categories. It does this one each pagination.

Thank you for your help and suggestions!

How do you accomplish switching the English and Spanish legend out? Is it a template, how is it called?

I think this has more to do with The Events Calendar JS date switching less to do with WPML etc. Somehow you need to load your legend language specific code during the JS date switch that Events Calendar is doing.

I think with the current updates you’ve done the best I’ve seen at integrating WPML, The Events Calendar, and the Category Colors plugin. If you can figure out how to consistently load the language switching legend between date changes, this would make a great blog post that I could pin here.

Thanks for the message! Oh interesting…

For your questions, How do you accomplish switching the English and Spanish legend out? Is it a template, how is it called?

That is a good question, I dont think I am using anything. I just followed the steps we did a few months back (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wpml-colors-only-show-on-one-language) using that code you gave me (in Code Snippets), along with WPML and not changing the settings to ‘Translate Categories’ having all the categories in one settings page. I think this is what you said was correct? It used to work, not sure what changed.

Am I supposed to have a specific legend switcher or template other than the code added from our last chat?

Hello Andy, I hope you are doing well.

So I did more investigating and this is what i found, depending on which order I add all the pieces in, it acts very differently. None of it is quite right.

The best I have found (that is still very buggy), wpml make categories translatable, then translate categories, then click ‘dont translate in WPML, update colors, save, add your PHP code, then go back to WPML and push ‘translatable’.

This fixes the issue of showing both category languages on one page. This works great on English, no problems. On the second language, it usually works the first page, but every pagination after the event link titles dont have their category color and are stuck in the sites default color (hard to read, dark purple).

I presume i did something wrong? I appreciate any assistance. Thank you!!

(Legend works great btw! Thank you!)

As the pagination is in JS, I wonder if something there isn’t correctly loading your template.

Might be worthwhile asking in ECP support.

Ok, Thanks for the tip, I will ask them and see what comes up.
