I’m seeing a lot of attempted access to /wp-json/iawp/search from all over the world and my firewall is blocking it. Is this legitimate traffic related to the analytics that I should allow, or some bot/malware attempt that I should keep blocking?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

That’s the REST API endpoint that Independent Analytics uses to record visits. If your analytics data looks accurate, then the firewall might only be blocking access to the endpoint for bots. If this is true, then the number of requests to /wp-json/iawp/search should roughly match the total number of blocked bot visits. Otherwise, it could be blocking legitimate visitors from getting recorded by IA.

The tracking script in IA blocks self-identifying bots like search engine crawlers, but it is a good idea to use a firewall of some kind to block malicious bots too.
