Lesson Settings > Classic Editor: If you enable this option, you will see an icon on the top right corner of the lesson editing option. That option enables you to see the lesson content on a separate screen and use page builders if needed.

Whenever I click the icon it opens a new tab with the error message: “You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?”

I have saved the lesson, saved the course, logged out/ logged in, created a new lesson, and even rebooted the server. I can edit the lesson in the lesson window but if I click the icon ” Classic Editor” the new tab shows the error.

  • Hi there,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Maybe Tutor LMS is conflicting with a third-party plugin. Please disable all third-party plugins one by one and try to check the lesson classic editor after disabling each plugin.

Hopefully, you will able to find the conflicting plugin and disable that. If this solution does not work for you, I would request you to come to our live chat or email for further investigation.

    Regards,
    Mehedi

    Hello,

I have the exact same problem. I tried disabling all the plugins without success!
    Could you please help me?

    Hello Erfan,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. I’m having trouble understanding the mentioned issue and possible solution without checking your site. I would request you to email us at [email protected] or join a live chat on our site.

    Regards,
    Mehedi

    Hi Mehedi,

    Thank you for your answer.
Basically I have a multisite (Two websites, one in En the other one in It languages). Your plugin is installed on both.
The En version is the main site. The It version is accessible by adding a /it at the end of my domain. So it is like this:
    https://www.website.com and https://www.website.com/it

When I want to use the classic editor for the lessons on the It website, this error appears: “You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted”.

I found that the classic editor option in your plugin tries to find the post/lesson on the En website instead of It, and obviously there is no such a post there. Therefore if I simply add “/it/” in the URL after my domain name the classic editor appears correctly.

    I hope it was clear,
    Bests,
    Erfan

    Hello Erfan,

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation. I have reproduced the multisite Classic Editor error locally. And forwarded this issue to our developer team.

Surely, we will fix this on our future updates. It will take some time. We appreciate your patient and cooperation. Please let us know if you find more.
