    Hi,
So i′m trying to let every user edit the places and before publishing, it should get reviewed by an Admin, just like a normal, new post. I saw that the Autor of the place has the option to edit, but then without getting reviewed and thats not what I am looking for.

Is this possible with GD or a Extension?

    hi,

sorry to disappoint you, but that is not possible without customization. Only the listing owner (and the site admin) can edit a listing.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    thanks for the answer!

ok, thanks, is it possible to add a Tag automatically when someone clicks on a check option in the normal Form? I think I found a possible solution, if I add to the normal form a Check option “this is an edit for an existing place” and then add the Tag “edit” I could see it in the admin panel, that would be enough for me to see it. Then it would be great if I can add a condonational “select” to the form where they can see all published places and select the one they want to edit.

Thank you very much again for your answer.

Why not repurpose the built-in report post widget?

    https://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/article/677-gd-report-post

You can use the translation file to say edit post instead of report post, add reasons for editing, and remove original reasons for reporting, and they can use the text field to provide details to be edited.

    That should work even better…

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for the Answer, thats actually Genious.
Unfortunately I read it too late, but Im pretty satisfied with the solution I found.
I simply created a Ninjaform which I added to the Place details tabs with a Shortcode. The form automatically sends me the Post Title and URL so I know perfectly which post they want to edit.

Thank you again very much for the help!

Your workaround sounds just as great…

I’m sure other users will read this and benefit from either solution.

    Good job!
