Let user choose Gallery

Is it possible to mod this plugin to let the user choose what gallery he/she wants to upload to?

I am using Albums with NextGen, so I have just a single page with a list of albums and the NextGen plugin handles the rest.

I am not asking for a full solution right now, even though it’d be great, but just direction on where to get started, and what to learn.

In the end, I’d like to be able to use a shortcode, or make a custom page template to add the Public Uploaded to my Albums page.
