Let users subscribe to events of an specific category

    Hello, I need a way to let my users subscribe only to events of a specific category from the global /calendar page. Currently, I have “Trainee” as a category for some events, and other different categories for my other events, and I need a way to let my users choose to which category subscribe from the main /calendar page. Is it possible?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    As of now, that is not possible. However, you could use a calendar shortcode so that you could create a page and add the calendar shortcode that will only show the events that belong to a specific category. This shortcode feature is only available in The Events Calendar PRO.

    Or you could try to apply some color coding to your events using Category colors plugin so that users could easily see which events belong to a specific category.

    Hi, I tried the shortcode version to only show events of an specific category. When users click on Subscribe will they be subscribing to that specific events category?

    Yes, that’s correct. You’ll only be subscribing to the events that you filtered using your shortcode parameters.
