Let’s me get to what I need to do faster!

This is a five-star review because WordFence is the best tool I’ve found for scanning for malware. The new interface improvements in version 7.0 are a big step up for usability and trainability.
#1: I don’t have to “click x to reload page” when saving. That got old so quickly. Glad it’s gone.
#2: On the scan page I love the four pre-set options — limited scan for bad shared hosting, Standard, and High Sensitivity for when I’m trying to assess a potentially hacked site, and Custom. Since these happen to coincide with the four types of scans I most often do I’m particularly happy.
#3: This might seem like an odd compliment but the advertisements for premium features are graceful, logical, and seem like part of the interface instead of being flashy or intrusive. I get that Wordfence works in a very high-stakes, high-maintenance environment so I get that they need to sell premium services. Nice that they don’t actively jam it down your throat the way some fremium plugins do.
#4: I get that this is only a UI overhaul and that the underlying functionality remains the same.
#5: The learning curve for the new interface is shorter than it was for the old one. And while I’m familiar with the old interface after years of use it’s unlikely that, given a choice, new users would consider the old interface an improvement. It’s also unlikely that I’d want to go back now that I’m used to the new interface. (Having to relearn ≠ bad redesign.)
