  • I am facing this issue too. The license is displayed neither in content nor the footer widget on the front page and on the blog category pages. It can be seen in other pages and blog posts.

    Hi,

There seems to be an issue with the widget on the front page. I’ll look into this and fix any issues.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for the update. It’s still an issue for me, even after moving to a different version of my theme.

    Hi,

This issue has not been fixed yet. I’m sorry about that, but my free time has been very limited lately. I’ll try to release a new version soon.

As a side note, cc-configurator 1.8.X has been designed in a way so that it is possible to set a license on a per post basis. So the licensing information is only added in content pages to prevent confusion. The widget follows this principal, but I do acknowledge that there are cases in which the widget should also appear in non-content pages displaying the default license (and that’s only if a CC license has been set as the default).

My thoughts are to add an option to the widget settings, so as to make its appearance on non content pages configurable.

Your feedback is welcome and much appreciated.

What you describe is the use case I had in mind: The entire blog is CC license by default and I would like to have the footer appear throughout the site (including home page). The option you mention would be a welcome addition.

Of course, there probably needs to be some way to suppress or modify the widget if it appears with blog posts in this scenario — but that goes without saying.

I’m sorry about the delay with this request. Just wanted to let you know that I have not forgotten about it and that it will be resolved in the next release.

    Hi @rivercitywordguy

Just a note that I’ve been working on this today. Also, I’ve set up a page (draft) outlining the logic behind the display of the license (as a text block or as a widget) according to the various configuration settings and the part of the website that is being visited. The page needs more work, but, if you see this message, and, if you notice anything wrong, I’d appreciate some feedback.

    Kind Regards,
    George

This feature has been implemented and will be available in the next release. I’m sorry it took so long.

I’m going to mark the topic as closed. Please open a ticket on Github for further feedback, if needed.
