    Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post this type of topic! I have two related questions I was hoping someone could answer. If I’ve made a child theme based off of a WordPress default theme (such as Twenty Twenty Four) to style a client’s website…

    1. Do I need to include license information in the child stylesheet header? In the parent stylesheet, I see this license information in the header:

License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

    License URI: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html

Should I include this information in the child stylesheet as well, or is this optional?

    2. I see a ‘readme’ file in the Twenty Twenty Four parent folder structure. Do I need to include a ‘readme’ file with copyright information in the child theme folder as well?

I’m assuming that the copyright information in the parent is sufficient, and that including it in the child theme isn’t necessary, but I wanted to ask. Thank you for your time! ??
