Lifestyle and Business Blogzine

  • I recently launched Prospere Magazine, a business and lifestyle blogzine targeting young women 25-40. The blogzine is currently updated once a month (second Tuesday of the month) and starting this week, a new poll is posted weekly. A business/lifestyle blogzine for women is an up-and-coming genre as most business magazines are gender neutral/slightly male-leaning. As Prospere Magazine is in blog form, it’s also interactive.

  • I think you’re on to something with a business magazine aimed at women. I’m new to online publishing though, so I can’t give much technical advise. I might chose a different template/theme though. This one seems a little flat and the text wrap around the images is too close.

    Thanks for the advice, roclark. I currently have no plans to change the theme, though it will change in the future.

    I agree, the text wrap by the images should have some padding.

    It took a long time to load. (I’m one of those dinosaurs on dial up.) The header would load faster if you broke it up into slices and optimized the graphics. That’s probably beyond what you want to toy with for the moment.

    I liked the poll option and voted.

    New issue is out now. ??

    I’m on 20Mbit ADSL2+ and it still took very long to even connect. Perhaps you want to rethink your webhosting decision. Overall I don’t really like the site’s theme. You might want to put a little more detail in the typography.

    The template is called Suhsweet and it is from Solostream.

    Prospere Magazine is now updated every other week with new articles (special articles may appear on article days, depending on news). Polls continue to be new weekly.

    well i love the look, since i am using the same template for my blog, lol
