Lifetime commission allocation

    Hey guys

    We have a question regarding the lifetime commission addon. Given the scenario that a user is assigned to an affiliate by lifetime commission, how does the system allocate a future user’s revenue if the user is using for example the coupon code of another affiliate?

    Example:
    Order 1: Customer orders through affiliate URL of Affiliate “Max”
    Order 2: Customer orders again with the same email address
    Order 3: Customer orders again with coupon code of Affiliate “Alex”
    Order 3: Customer orders again with affiliate URL of Affiliate “Alex”

    Assumptions:
    – Order 1 affiliate revenue is assigned to Max
    – Order 2 affiliate revenue is assigned to Max
    – Order 3 affiliate revenue is assigned to Alex, but not to Max
    – Order 3 affiliate revenue is assigned to Alex, but not to Max

    I would love to understand the logic of the lifetime commission allocation. We must ensure that our affiliates are treated fair and no double commission is paid.
