A use case would be, if a customer spent a total of $120 over a few years time on my store and they are interested in joining the $200 membership, they would only have to pay $80.

Would this be the way it works? Would it be automatic, so when a customer logs in, they see the discount applied to the membership?

Hello, I am sorry for the misunderstanding,
I have a store that sells digital products.

I want to take the total spend of a customer on the store and turn that total amount into a coupon that can be applied towards a lifetime subscription membership, no matter what products they bought in the past.

It takes the total of everything spent on the store and then turns amount that into the discount amount that gets deducted from the price of the lifetime membership.
