    Hello! ??

I’m working on a new LMS project for a client, Lifter fits perfectly for their requirements but I got some doubts about some features if are available or not.

1.- At the course page list, can we add the status for each one? for example, “in progress”, “not enrolled”, etc…?
2.- Can 10 questions out of 50 be randomly selected?
3.- If the student has been enrolled manually, can we send an email with their login data?
4.- Is there some way to create a custom client dashboard?
5.- At the certificate badge, by default show the date… can we add the course name too?

This for now ?? The next step will be the customization. I’m working with Kadence and looks pretty good.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @jselva84

Thank you for reaching out to us.

1.- At the course page list, can we add the status for each one? for example, “in progress”, “not enrolled”, etc…?

This would involve some custom development as the students would get only their enrolled course in their personalized dashboard.

2.- Can 10 questions out of 50 be randomly selected?

Our friends at Aspen Grove Studios made a plugin for this. The plugin name is Random Quiz Generator for LifterLMS

3.- If the student has been enrolled manually, can we send an email with their login data?

Yes, you should be able to achieve this with LifterLMS Engagements.

4.- Is there some way to create a custom client dashboard?

Can you please elaborate on this question? There are plugins that allow you to create a custom dashboard. Here is a guide that may help: https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-custom-dashboard/

5.- At the certificate badge, by default show the date… can we add the course name too?

You’ll need a developer to help you with this as this is also custom customization.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Hello Toyin! Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it.

    1,2, 3 and 5 are clear ??

4.- My idea is to design a LifterLMS dashboard for my client, with analytics. How many students have finished X course, etc… similar to the WP view, but without the wat to login into WP and access to this data. I have to take a look your link and see if I can do something similar.

Other question is (number 6) hehe At the menu I want to add the student name with a dropdown with options, for example “my Dashboard” and “log out”. I guess this needs customization too, right? but this is possible to do.

    Thank you again!

You should be able to achieve this using our REST API and then you can build the front-end with a plugin like: Ultimate Dashboard – Custom WordPress Dashboard

It’s something possible. We have a guide here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-do-i-use-conditional-login-and-logout-menu-items

Let us know if this helps.

    Hello again @jnr4u2 ??

I have to learn a lot thanks to you!

Meanwhile I’m working on this project, I got more doubts, the new one is the following.

When the course is in progress, I want to access from the detail box at “my courses” to the last lesson page instead of the course page. I want skip this step. LifterLMS has some configuration for that?

    Thank you for your support!

    Hi @jselva84

For logged in users, you can use the Course continue shortcode. See here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/shortcodes/#lifterlms_course_continue_button

Let us know if this helps.

    Hi @jnr4u2 ??

I’ve taked a look but is not my idea that I’m looking for. My objective is when the student are at the course catalog, when some course is in progress “jump” to the /lesson/lesson-name-page/ instead of /course/course-name-page/

    Thank you!

    Hi @jselva84

    Thank you for clarifying!

To do this you would need a little bit of custom development either to add that shortcode Toyin mentioned to each of the courses in the loop so they display when users have that course in progress to hop back in, or to change the redirect when users click into their enrolled courses.

We unfortunately don’t have anything on hand to do that! Apologies for the inconvenience!

Let us know if you have any further questions!

    Hello @nrherron ??

Yup, I have to find some solution for this.

About the shortcode, I can’t find info about shortcode for the certificate module. I want to add the same as the courses using [lifterlms_courses mine=”enrolled”] but with the certificates. This is possible?

    Thank you!

    Hi @jselva84

Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to do that with Certificates.

You may need custom development in other to do this.

    Regards,

Since I haven’t heard back from you in a week I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. Don’t worry, if you have more questions or still need help just hit reply and let me know!

    Have a great day!
